Japanese Food Still Life (AF)

Art Foundation - 8 years old to 11 years old

Duration: 7 sessions at 2 hours per session.

Period: From the week of 31st March 2021 until the week of 12th May 2021.

- The concept behind the beauty of Japanese food display collage

Japanese Food is everywhere in Singapore! Kids love to eat Sushi, adults love Sashimi and let us remind you of the tantalizing tempura and tonkatsu that is just so crispy and yummy! The best part about Japanese food is how they display and portion for you on a set menu where you simply just get all the nutrients and delicacy in some Japanese restaurants. The display itself is an art. Colours, size and the price matters so much...


In this upcoming Art Foundation, our junior artists will be practising still life sketches of various Japanese foods. From their sketches, we will teach them watercolour tips, tricks and techniques to achieve the right colours and watercolor painting effects for their Japanese food still life sketches. With these combination of skills taught, look forward to Art Foundation junior artists final artwork on their very own Japanese food display set! Perhaps, this shall inspire chefs around the world for their menu creation!

My City Block Printing Collage

Creative Mix Media Art - 4 years old to 8 years old

Duration: 3 sessions at 1 hour 30 minutes per session.

Period: From the week of 10th March 2021 until the week of 24th March 2021.

In this print making project , our little artists will think like urban planners and plan a city that they dreamed of or have been to. Using print making as the art medium, they will transform their art into a beautiful city collage.

DIY Flower Pot

Creative Mix Media Art - 4 years old to 8 years old

Duration: 3 sessions at 1 hour 30 minutes per session.

Period: From the week of 17th February 2021 until the week of 3rd March 2021.

Physically-in-class only.


Learning Points:

  • The basic techniques of air dry clay handbuilding

  • Techniques of using decorative ornaments with air dry clay

  • Choosing complimentary colours

  • Visual art on a 3D object

  • Pot planting

No matter where you are, green plants will definitely add a touch of color to your life. It has benefits such as purifying air and beautifying your environment. Nature is beauty and how can such beauty be brought to a child's world with art? Artistori wants to lead our Creative Mix Media Art little artists into the world of clay to make their very own small flower pots by using the method of Coiling. In the process of creation, they will understand the shape, three-dimensional and spatial concepts. Using decorative ornaments, their DIY Flower pots shall be an object that catches everyone's attention!
