Creative Art & Speech - Canvas Painting

Project Duration: 4 sessions at 1 hour 30 minutes per session.

Free Trial Duration: 1 session only from 8th November 2023 to 12th November 2023.

Inspired by the Artist Joan Miro, our little artists are going to combine creative expression, story-telling and abstract art to create a canvas painting telling a story using shapes, lines and dots as symbols.

Conducted through the process of playing some interactive games, our little artists will design their own organic and geometric shapes, attaching them to a face of a dice and surprise themselves with each roll of the dice where they will fill an entire canvas landscape with these various shapes in different sizes and colours.

Watch as these symbols come to life in a world of their own, as we dive deeper into the world where anything is possible with our little artists!

Project Period: 25th October 2023 to 24th December 2023.

Taking inspiration from traditional Mongolian outfits, with a touch of contemporary fashion, our little artists will be stepping into the shoes of a fashion designer to create their very own fashion statement piece to be featured on a magazine cover.

Get ready to explore how traditions can be preserved and passed down while still honoring their roots, to learn about new cultures, and to dive deep into the process of what fashion design really is all about!

Create your own Rain-Stick (CMM)

How does the rain sound like? Can you imagine if it does not rain?

In some African villages water is scarce, where it only rains one month out of the entire year. In these villages, tribesmen create native instruments called the Rain-Stick and conduct rituals to bring the rain. Inspired by this, we decided to share with our little artists the importance of water conservation and to shed light on this struggle that continues all over the world today. Through this process, we paint recycled cardboard tubes with symbols and patterns before filling them with rice and beans to create this traditional musical instrument. As our little artists play with their Rain-Stick, we hope that it reminds them not to take water in Singapore for granted even though it is often within our reach.
