In this project, students are encouraged to merge the worlds of fashion and architecture by creating their own fashion designs and illustrations inspired by iconic architectural structures in Singapore. This project not only enhances their design skills but also fosters a deeper appreciation for both fashion and architecture, highlighting the interconnectedness of art and design.
Students explore these landmarks, studying their unique elements and cultural significance, and then design fashion pieces reflecting these architectural motifs. This project fosters creativity, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation while enhancing technical skills in fashion illustration and garment construction. By creating a portfolio of original designs, students connect art and architecture, gaining a deeper appreciation for their environment.
